Long not hard?

Over the years I’ve heard many of story of local FitPros telling people that they work harder than us.

Pointing this out to actual or prospective customers as a way to sell what they do.

I’d question that though.

They don’t actually know how many hours we work for a start.

But, yeah, they may work more hours.

———— And, I’ll be honest, spending more time delivering a less good service and less results to fewer customers isn’t a badge of honour I’d flaunt ————

But that’s working longer, not harder.

They may spend more time doing the things that they find comfortable (delivering sessions) than we, individually, do.

But they’re not pushing themselves to get better at the stuff that might not come so natural to them.

Structuring and running a business, marketing, coaching, systems, support and so on.

There’s no prizes in life for spending more time on something.

Success comes from actually producing results, irrespective of how long that takes.

And it’s the same with your health related pursuits.

Spending more time than you need to is fine, if you want to.

But time itself doesn’t give the results.

The quicker we can do what needs to be done, the more likely we are to stick to it.

Cooking full meals from scratch is lovely.

I enjoy it when I have the time.

But a tactical swap of a lower calorie, but equally filling option………

Or a simple cutting of portion size……….

Can get the job done much quicker.

Hours out running or cycling is cool if you enjoy that.

But you can get in shape way quicker than that (our GTP sessions innit –> www.theacademygtc.co.uk/briefing-meeting).

Remember, you’re not punching a clock.

Take your time if you want.

But you don’t need to.

Do what needs to be done in the fastest way you find doable.

Much love,
