Third the one with the hairy chest?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

—————- The next find out more meeting for our December programme is on Tuesday 26th November which is in 13 days. Check www.theacademygtc.co.uk/briefing-meeting to find out more, see what the meeting involves and, potentially, take that next step to transforming your life and body 🙂 ———————-

You remember the rhyme, yeah?

“First the worst, second the best, third the one with the hairy chest.”

Invariably said by another kid at school that you’d just beaten at something.

There are other options of course.

Something between best and worst (let’s just disregard the hairy chest for now).

But we forget that sometimes.

We aim for the ‘best’ option.

The ‘best diet’.

Or ‘best exercise’ regime.

And that’s usually too much.

Fine if you’re training for the Olympics.

And have the time and finances to support that.

But for 99% of the population, the ‘best’ isn’t the best.

And when we go for that and, invariably, struggle……………..

It’s tempting to go back to the ‘worst’.

Or somewhere nearer that.

To completely stop what we’ve been doing.

And go back to old habits.

Only to “try again” at some point in the future.

Kids nowadays have added in “Zero the Hero” and “Minus the Highness”.

Doesn’t really make any sense, but that’s kids for you.

Maybe, though, they’re on to something.

Maybe being a “hero” is better than aiming for the “best”.

Heroes are rarely those who find everything easy and beat all their challenges no problem.

The classic ‘Heroes journey’ where the main “character ventures out to get what they need, faces conflict, and ultimately triumphs over adversity”.

Do the best you can under the circumstances in front of you.

The best is rarely actually doable.

Work towards what you want / need (maybe start doing that by clicking this link –> www.theacademygtc.co.uk/briefing-meeting).

Face conflicts and challenges.

On average, over time, triumph over adversity!

Much love,

Jonathan ‘Kent’ Hall and Matthew ‘Michael Murdock’ Nicholson
