Reading Time: 2 minutes

I’ve been away on hols recently.

A week in the Lake District with my side of the family.

A week in the South of France with my wife’s side.

The other morning I was in early for a workout and then, as Coach Faye left from doing the morning sessions I was still on the computer.

She checked with me if I was staying or if she should lock up.

I was staying.

“You catching up?” she asked.

“Nope. Getting back ahead” was my response.

Like with a lot of things in life, getting ahead with my work makes it less effort than waiting till the last possible moment.

Or getting behind and having to catch up.

If I were to have to fire up my laptop every morning and write, publish and schedule a new blog from scratch…………

I definitely wouldn’t be approaching 2,000 days in a row.

Same with the daily videos in the members only Facebook group.

Getting ahead on these, and other bits, before a holiday……….

Then pulling level and getting ahead again……..

Is the only way really.

There are some ‘reactive’ aspects to my job, of course.

Replying to messages, emails, etc.

But the more stuff than can be, and is, done ahead of time, the more gets done.

And, as I said before, it’s the same with many things.

Waiting till Hungry O’Clock invariably means the easiest option isn’t great.

Staff canteen, coffee shop, garage forecourt, etc.

Putting twenty minutes in on a Sunday night can save five lots of 10 minutes in the week.

And make sure what’s availability is a better choice.

And maintaining weight when you could’ve gained is waaaayyyyy more likely to lead to the final result than falling further behind and having to catch up.

Ultimately, whatever works is fine (if what you’ve been doing hasn’t, on average, been working for you, then maybe it’s time to check out something that’s helped hundreds of local people finally make those lasting changes –>ย www.theacademygtc.co.uk/briefing-meeting).

If getting behind and catching up has got the results you desire, crack on ๐Ÿ™‚

If not, look where you can ‘get ahead’ to make the whole thing easier ๐Ÿ™‚

Much love,
